Bathurst - Mrs. Alma Noseworthy, wife of the late Eric Noseworthy, formerly of West Bathurst, passed away on Monday May 13, 2019 at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Bathurst, at the age of 83.
Born in Englee, NL, she was the daughter of the late Lemuel and Ida (Cull) Compton.
Alma is survived by four children: Allan (Ella Mitchell) of Summerside, NL, Derek (Sally) and Jean Smyth (David) both of Bathurst and Debbie Pitre (Paul) of Dunlop.
Seven grandchildren: Roger, Erica, Adam, Christopher, Nicholas, Odis, Emma and five great-grandchildren: Connor, East, Maria, Judah and Daniel.
Two brothers: Wilfred Compton (Mildred) and Maxwell Compton (June) both of Burgeo, NL. Two sisters: Telsie Pick (Gord) of St. John's NL and Helen Kung (Harry) of Calgary, AB.
Sister-in-law, Marilyn Clarke (Robert) of Harbour-Le-Cou, NL. Several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by a brother, Harvey, a daughter-in-law, Dorothy "Boe" and nephew Danny.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held on Thursday May 16, 2019 at 2 pm from the First United Church, St. Patrick St, Bathurst.
In memory of Alma, donations to the I.W.K. Hospital Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
