Bathurst - Mrs. Irène Kenny, 81, of Chaleur St., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday July 11, 2019, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.

Born in Bertrand, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Josephine (Cormier) Godin.

She worked all her life as a hairdresser.

She is survived by two children: Donald Kenny (Anne Gauthier) and Joanne Kenny (Chidiebere I Nwabunwanne) both of Bathurst.

Two grandchildren: John (Tonya), Linda, two step-grandchildren: Jedd, Becca (Lance) and one great-grandson, Tyler.

One brother, Rhéal Godin of La Malbaie, QC.

Several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by a brother, Roger.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday July 19, 2019 at 11 a.m. from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Donations in memory of Irene may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
