Eugene Hachey, 58, of St. Peter Ave., Bathurst, died peacefully at his residence, on Friday (July 22,2005). Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Stanislas and Rosalie (Richard) Hachey. He was a chartered accountant and partner with Grant Thornton LLP and was a committee member of ``Diocésain des affaires économique`` and a member of the Bathurst Council of UCT. Besides his wife, Alice (Blanchard) Hachey, he is survived by: One son: Bernard of Montreal, Que. One daughter: Nicole (Marc Boudreau) of Petit Rocher, NB One brother: Rodrigue (Claudette) of Petit-Rocher, NB One sister: Simone Picot (Roger) of Bathurst Brother-in-law: Paul Lacoste of St. Hubert, Que. Several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Jacqueline. The body will rest after 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning (July 25, 2005) at 11:00 a.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
