Bathurst - Earle A. Morrison, 85, of Dumeresq St., Bathurst, died suddenly on Tuesday (September 9, 2003) on arrival at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son of the late Walter and Sarah (Ward) Morrison.
He served in World War II, with the Royal Canadian Army in Canada and overseas and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He worked for 40 years with Atlantic Wholesalers until his retirement.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, the former Margaret Jeffers.
He is survived by:
2 Daughters: Mary Boucher of Bathurst, Patricia Imhoff (Robert) of South Tetagouche
3 Sons: Jackie Morrison (Sherry) and Dale Morrison (Paula) both of Bathurst, Brian Morrison (Stephanie) of Edmonton, AB
2 Brothers: Leigh Morrison Bathurst, Sinclair Morrison of Salmon Beach
3 Sisters: Emily Sargent and, Ruby Clark both of Bathurst, Elsie Reid of Ottawa, ON,
7 Grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by brothers; Harley, Weldon, and a sister Verna Ramsay.
The body rested at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Service was held on Friday (September 12, 2003) from the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James Stewart presiding. Burial was in the United Cemetery, St. Anne St., Bathurst. Pallbearers were his three sons, Jackie, Brian & Dale and Alan Jagoe, Randy Lavigne and Clayton Ward. A Legion Service was held at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening.
