North Tetagouche – Donald Linden, husband of the late Lucille (Côté) Linden, of North Tetagouche, passed away on Sunday July 18, 2021, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 84.
Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Beverley and Isabel (MacDonald) Linden.
Donald retired after over 36 years with Canadian National Railway. Throughout his life you may have met him through one of his many passions either through playing softball, boating, horseshoes, shuffleboard, darts, watching the TO Blue Jays, gardening, bird watching and listening to music. He was always willing to give a helping hand. Don enjoyed time with family, friends and neighbours as well as the company of his cat. He had a good sense of humour and responded with a very unique laugh.
He is survived by twin daughters: Michelle Linden-Beckingham (Sandy) of Dalhousie, NB and Linda Wabie (Bryan) of Woodstock, ON.
One son: Robert Linden (Tracy Thibodeau) of Fredericton.
Three grandchildren; Laura Lee, Braeden, Aaron, three great-grandchildren; Kai, Hayden and Payton.
One brother, Robert Linden of Moncton. Several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, he was pre-deceased by an infant son, Mark Allan, a brother, John, three sisters: Elizabeth, Mary and Edna.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday August 2, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. from his residence, 4 Rideau Dr., North Tetagouche.
