It is with great sadness that we the family, announce the death of Mrs. Liliane Surkis, wife of the late Jean Pierre “JP” Surkis of Bathurst, which occurred at her residence on Saturday October 2, 2021 at the age of 86.

Born in Paris, France, she was the daughter of the late Solomon and Sylvia (Chaluta) Malin.

Liliane was the last surviving member of her immediate family, and she leaves behind her son, Hymie (Diane Holt) of Bathurst; her daughter, Murielle of Montreal; her grandchildren: Aaron (Celine) of Toronto, Sabra Surkis (Kelly Sturgess) of Fredericton and great-grandchildren: Marlo and Noah.

Liliane was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) in Bathurst and Paperman & Sons Funeral Home in Montreal.

The Service will be from the Memorial Park Section, Baron de Hirsch Cemetery at 1 p.m. Tuesday October 5, 2021.
