Beresford- Aurèle Grant passed away Wednesday October 13th, 2021 at the Villa Sormany in Robertville at the age of 86. He was the son of the late Édouard and Cécile (Frenette) Grant.
He is survived by the love of his life for 65 years, his wife Sylvia (DeGrâce) Grant.
Four children: Jean-Guy (Pauline Haché), Johnny (Ghislaine Boudreau), Denis (Sandra Landry) all of Beresford and Janice (Marcel Godin) of Allardville. His grandchildren: Éric Cormier (Rachel Rappaport) of Gatineau, Que., Jonatan Cormier (Roxanne Leblanc), of Sherbrooke Que., Marie-Estelle Grant (Mathieu Arseneau) of Petit-Rocher, Jessica Grant of Ottawa and Amy Lynn Grant of Beresford and one great-grand-daughter, Akalie.
His brother, James Grant of Balmoral, sister-in-law, Gisèle Grant (late Donald) of Ste-Louise as well as his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Degrâce family: James, Godfrey (Marie-Anne), Emelda (Alyre) Frenette, Arnolda (Richard) Frenette, Lorenzo, Annette, Viola and Ursule, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Donald, sister Irène and grandson, Jérémie (23 may 2010), whom he adored.
Before his retirement, Aurèle drove grader for the Department of Transportation for more than 30 years.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday October 21st, 2021 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford. Masks and proof of double vaccination will be required at the Funeral Home and at Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 4 p.m. from Holy Name of Jesus Church in Beresford.
