It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of George Dunn on January 24,2022 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital.
George is the youngest son of the late Dave and Evelyn (Stever) Dunn, born on December 10, 1959.
He is survived by his siblings John (Ethel), Lulu (Ray) Babin, Bob
(Mary Jane), Marg Fisher, Dee Dee (Bryan) Stever. As well as 12 nephews and one niece.
George recently moved downtown which gave him access to the library. He didn’t have a car or license so he walked wherever he needed to go. He went back-and-forth to the library for books and DVDs. He enjoyed reading, baking, crossword puzzles and playing his guitar.
His battle with cancer was short but brave.
His family would like to thank Diane for getting him into a safe & warm apartment. Thanks to the persons that sent him Christmas gift cards for several years signed Santa. Also to the Spirit of Christmas for the visits and gifts and for keeping him on the nice list. Thanks to the doctors and nurses in the emergency department, intensive care unit and palliative care.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 3rd at 11 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel. (www.elhatton.com) Proof of double vaccination and masks are required to attend the funeral service.
