Bathurst - Arnold 'Ike' Doucet, 69, of Lavigne St, Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (December 1, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Anselm and Zita (Lavigne) Doucet. He was retired from Brunswick Mines and was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club. Besides his wife, Connie (Watson) Doucet, he is survived by: Two sons: Dale Doucet (late Diane) of Bathurst Randy Doucet (Sandra) of South Tetagouche, NB Two daughters: Ann Doucet of Bathurst Susan Ferreira (Carlos) of Toronto, ON One sister: Edna Aubie (Robert J.) of Bathurst Five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday afternoon (December 5, 2005) at 2:00 p.m. from St. Theresa Church, South Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
