It is with great sadness, that we, the family announce the passing of Victorin Doucet, husband of the late Véronique (Thibeault) Doucet, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the age of 96 and 4 months.

Born in Petit-Rocher, he was the son of the late Jean-Baptiste and Emma (Fournier) Doucet. He was the last living member of his immediate family.

He leaves behind his children: Richard, (Irene Dugas), Rose-Marie (Donald Laforge), Jean-Guy (Betty Chenard), Jeannine (Albert Pitre), Denise (Julien Roy), Elmer (Verna Chenard), Kenneth (Ruth Wiseman) and Lina Doucet; he also leaves sixteen grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Victorin worked at the former Consolidated Bathurst paper mill for 42 years. He loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar with his friends and at family reunions.

As per his wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home in Bathurst. www.elhatton.com
