It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Herbert (Herbie) Boudreau, husband of Holly Smith, which occurred on June 2, 2024, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 70.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Aurele and Cecile (Bertin) Boudreau.

He is survived by his children: Linda (Denis) Boudreau and Jason Boudreau, his grandchildren Sophie Legacy, Owen Legacy, Levi Legacy, Kathy Samantha Duguay, Jessie Hachey, Shawn Laroque, Justin Legacy and Silas Legacy; his brothers Louis (Julie) Boudreau, Clifford (Lori) Boudreau, Norman (Suzanne) Boudreau, Emile (Suzanne) Boudreau and his sister Dorina (Euclide) Roy.

Herbie was predeceased by his granddaughter Madison Roy Boudreau, nephews Brian Boudreau and Michael Boudreau.

He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who he cherished and a good friend Kenneth Gauthier. Sisters-in-law Lorraine (Wayne) Pitre and Linda (David) Ellis and brother-in-law Robert (Nancy) Smith.

Herbie had many friends who help him and who he helped over the years. He always had a smile at the ready for everyone.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at the Spruce Grove Union Cemetery, Bridge Street, on Thursday June 6th, 2024, at 2 p.m.
