Bathurst – It is with sorrow and much sadness that we the family, mourn the passing of Mrs. Lucienne Lavigne, wife of the late Williard Lavigne, of Bathurst, which occurred on Saturday June 29, 2024, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 88.

Born in Pointe-Verte, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Laurette (Lagacy) Roy.

She is survived by her children, son Daniel Lavigne (Judy) and daughters:  Dianne Gray (Paul), Darlene Hachey (Kenneth), Tina Sergeant (Dennis) and Suzanne Lavigne (Claude).

Seven grandchildren: Marc, Adam, Michelle, Jamie, Samantha, Travis and Jenny Lynn and her five great-grandchildren: Tianna, Miley, Jackson, Damien, Colt and also by a special friend, Reginal Gionet.

Two sisters:  Alexandrine Legacy and Marie Haché (Hilaire).

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides her beloved husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by sisters Aline, Émérentienne, Annette and brothers Leonard, Gerard, Elide and Simon.

Mom loved gardening in her flowers and vegetable gardens, and enjoyed many trips across Canada and the US, her crafting, sewing and baking was enjoyed by many. We will miss her greatly, at this time we would like to thank Melanie Lavigne from Extra Mural Program, the Staff at the palliative care unit or the Chaleur Regional Hospital, special mention to Doreen and Nany for the excellent care given to our mom, also special thank you to Dr. Pierre Alexandre Demers for taking such good care or our mom.

There will be no visitations at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday July 4, 2024, at 2 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Donations in memory of Lucienne can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
