Bathurst – Mrs. Laurence “Laury” Morissette, wife of the late Jean-Guy Morissette, of Bathurst and formerly of Ste-Anne, Gloucester Co., passed away peacefully on Monday July 8, 2024, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 85.
She is survived by one daughter: Guylaine Morissette Hachey (Michel) of Nicholas Denys.
Several nieces and nephews.
My mother loved life. She always had a smile on her face. Those who knew her knows that she loved music, dancing and playing cards. She was "game" for an adventure.
Laury was deeply touched by the acceptance and love received from (the late Blanche Hachey and good friend), (the late Jacques), Lise, Nicole, Suzanne, Monique and the entire Hachey family. The parties, card games, camping, dances and laughter are etched there.
Good friends are important. Tracy Pitre Plourde, Nicolle Hébert and DiAnne Laurence Dupont for the last Easter supper and so on. Thank you for the last 30 years of respect, affection and laughter Laury has received.
Special thanks to Blanche Richardson, Annette Gauthier and Rachelle Chiasson (Guylaine's sisters) for their support, their thoughts and their prayers.
A big thank you to the Résidence Prestige for the care provided during her stay and to the employees Sophie, Pascale, Véronique and Jessica for their attention, their service and their compassion.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday July 19, 2024, at 11 a.m. from the Centre Chrétien Évangélique Church, Beresford. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Centre Chrétien Évangélique Church or a favorite charity
