It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Dorothy Ella Knowles “Dottie” of Clifton, which occurred on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 83.

Born in Bathurst, she was the eldest daughter of the late Guy and Verna (Daley) Glendenning.

Dottie is survived by her two children; Barclay (Christine) Knowles of Janeville, Brenda Knowles (Art Fournier) of Bathurst and her grandson Keithen of Janeville.

Two sisters; Hazel (Hanson) Miller of Salmon Beach, Dora Mae (Laurie) Knowles of Clifton.

Three brothers; Elmer of Fredericton, Chester of Langly B.C. and Chip (Julia) of Quispamsis.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by the father of her children Garry Knowles, infant daughter Wendy Lee and sister-in-law Judy Glendenning.

As per Dottie’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation. A graveside service will be held at a later date from the Stonehaven Union Church cemetery, beside her parents.

Donations in memory of Dottie may be made to the Central United Church in Clifton or a charity of their choice.
