It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Martina Huard, wife of the late Pierre Huard, who passed away on Thursday October 10, 2024, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 87.

Born in Bathurst she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marguerite (Pitre) Legacy.

She is survived by eight children: Jeannette (Robert), Claudette, Juliette (Denis), Clara (Denis), Lionel (Shandra), Marie (Michel), Monique (Jacques) and Blanche.

Grandchildren: Alex, Alexis, Bruno, René, Melissa, Mathieu, KC, RJ, Sophie, Jacob, Sonia, Jessica, Sylvie, Chantal, Sébastien and Caroline. Thirty-four great-grandchildren.

One sister, Beatrice Couture, several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her siblings Arthur, Gervais, Edgar, Mike, Bernadette, Ernestine, Priscille and Mary.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 16, 2024, at 2p.m. from Elhatton’s Funeral home Chapel.

Donations in memory of Martina may be made to the Alzheimer’s society of Canada.
