Judith Ellen Green (nee Sargent)
July 26, 1952 - September 24, 2024
Judith “Judy” Ellen Green passed away on the 24th of September following a long-term illness. She is survived by her husband, David, and her three beloved daughters Marla (South Korea), Erin (Belgium) and Alana (Vancouver), as well as her siblings and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Her later years were marked with the joyful arrival of her two grandchildren, Cleo and Otis, whom she enjoyed playing with on the beach in Spain and calling on video.
We remember her as a fierce and outsized character. She was fearless in sticking up for what she believed was right and confronting anything she believed was wrong. Traits that certainly live on in the three girls she raised into strong, well-educated, and independent women.
She was happiest at her home on Youghall Drive, and always loved being near and on the water. Her many years there were spent taking care of home and family, with holidays being especially memorable. From old Kent store mannequins decked out for Christmas to giant papier maché Halloween spiders on the roof, Judy went all in when it came to seasonal affairs!
As her family grew older, Judy continued to take care of her girls. Trips to the mall were her love language, and her Sears discount was used with abandon, keeping us all in comfort and style for years to come.
Rest well, Big Mama.
Her family requests that donations in her honour be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or the Arthritis Society (NB Division).
Family and friends are invited to a reception at the Green household on Saturday, October 19, 4-7 pm.
