It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Lynda Comeau of Dieppe, NB, formerly of Bathurst, passed away in Moncton on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Hospice SENB Albert House at the age of 75.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late George (the barber) Lagacé and Augustine (Comeau) Lagacé.
Lynda was sensitive, kind, compassionate and generous beyond measure. She enjoyed making crafts of all sorts, especially knitting and it is with great pleasure that she donated her many mittens and hats. She also had a very green thumb for both indoor and outdoor gardening; her house plants, veggies, shrubs and flowers thrived, under her meticulous care.
She will be greatly missed by her husband of 53 years, Gary Comeau, her daughter Janice (Bernard Cormier); of Notre Dame de Kent; her sister Louise Wafer and nephew (Godson) Tim Wafer of Bathurst. Her sisters-in-law Roseline Comeau of Beresford; Ghislaine Comeau of Moncton; Elva Doucet (Ralph) Bathurst; Yolande Frenette (Jean Marc) Beresford and her brother-in-law Jean Marc Comeau (Annie), Beresford; and her special neighbour, Chantal Boucher.
The family wishes to express gratitude towards Dr. Mohammed Harb and the staff at the oncology department of the Moncton Hospital and the Blanche Bourgeois Extra Mural, as well as a special thank you to her family doctor Dr. Carole Deveau. We greatly appreciated the wonderful care provided to Lynda.
As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place in the Sacred Heart cemetery, Bathurst.
For those who may wish to honour her memory, a donation can be made to Friends of the Moncton Hospital (oncology).
