Dunlop - It is with profound sadness that we the family, announce the passing of James Augustus Colford, born in St. John’s, NF, which occurred peacefully on Sunday, October 27, 2024, in Bathurst at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, at the age of 86.

He was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine (Penney) Colford of 39 years; parents: James Augustine and Eileen (Neville) Colford; siblings, Eileen, Catherine, Marcella and Mary; brothers in law, Richard, Gerry, Stephen, Ross and Harry; mother-in-law, Madallen and sister-in-law, Patricia.

Leaving to mourn are his children: Elizabeth and Gerard; his grandchildren, Jessica (Alex), Emily and Liam; his great grandchildren, Leah and Haley; siblings, Edward (Brenda) and Margaret as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Special thanks to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit medical and nursing team who took great care of dad.

There will be no visitation or service, cremation will take place.
