Middle River - Edward Ward, 65, of Middle River, passed away on Wednesday (May 17, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Blissfied, he was the son of the late William and Sadie (Porter) Ward.
He worked at Brunswick Mining and later as a woodswoker.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Warren) Ward.

9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by brothers; Dean, Glen, Earl, and a sister; Gertie Mcaleer.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Elhattons' Funeral Home(www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Friday morning (May 19, 2006) at 11:00 a.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ben Dejong. Burial will be in the Spruce Grove Union Cemetery, Bridge St. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
