Bathurst – Mr. Kenneth “Kenny” Knowles, 94 of South Bathurst passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst following a brief illness.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Reginald and Jessie (Branch) Knowles.

He is survived by two sons: William “Billy” (Paula) of Bathurst and David (Nicole) of Beresford. Daughter in law Susan Fitzpatrick (Carl) of Beresford.

Four grandchildren: Kyle, Michael, Stephanie (Bob), Jennifer (Pier-Luc) and one great-granddaughter, Isabelle.

His is also survived by his sister Barbara Ann Dodge and several nieces.

Kenny was predeceased by his wife Gloria, son Rodney, brothers Donald, Clifford, Harold and Blair.

Kenny was a lifelong member of Saint George’s Anglican Church in Bathurst. He worked as a butcher most of his life.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, March 21, 2025 at St. George’s Anglican Church.

Donations in memory of Kenny may be made to the Saint George’s Anglican Church, Bathurst SPCA or a to a charity of the donor’s choice.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lillian and the staff of Southern Comfort. Though his stay may have been short, it was enjoyable.
