Bathurst - It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Gordon Chiasson, of Bathurst, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Monday, April 7th, 2025, at the age of 83.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Louis and Adée (Ferguson) Chiasson.

Gordon worked in the mining industry for most of his life. He was well known for his bowling skills and softball skills.

He is survived by his children: Randy Chiasson (Louise Aubie) of Bathurst and Brian Chiasson of Toronto, ON.

Four grandchildren: Gordon, Peter, Julie and Coleen and several great-grandchildren.

Brothers & sisters: Simonne Lamont, Ruth Robins, Elaine Furlotte (Pat), Janet Lockart and Jimmy Chiasson, Linda Chiasson (Léo Haché) of Beresford and Vernie Spencer of North Bay, ON.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Bryar, son Gordon Jr., brothers: Carl, Terry and a sister, Dorothy.

There will be no visitations at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday April 16, 2025, at 10 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Gordon can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity.
