Bathurst - James 'Jim' Boyle, 74, of Caron Dr., Bathurst, died Sunday (October 26, 2003) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Dipper Harbour, NB, he was the son of the late Peter Joseph and Clara (Kelly) Boyle.
Jim worked at Eddy Hardware from 1955 - 1994. Jim was an active member of this church and community. He was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1935, and past Grand Knight in Amherst, NS. He was and active member of the Irish Canadian Cultural Association of New Brunswick, Bathurst Chapter acting as President and playing a large role in having the Celtic Cross erected. He was a member of St. Mary's Cemetery Committee and the Bathurst Committee for Seniors Citizen Housing. He also served on the Pastoral Council at St. Theresa parish. He was associated with the Bathurst District Boy Scouts for many years.

3 Daughters: Theresa 'Terri' Hanlon (Dennis) of St. John's NF Darlene Boyle of New Westminster, BC Nancy LeBlanc (late Yves) of Arichat, NS
1 Sister: Margaret 'Peggy' Lidstone (late Norman) of Dipper Harbour, NB
1 Brother: Ralph Boyle (Margaret) of Saint John
5 Grandchildren; Meaghan, Thomas, Colum, Alexandra, Jesse, and several nieces and nephews
He was pre-deceased by a son, Patrick.
The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning (October 29, 2003) at 11:00 a.m. from St. Theresa Church, South Bathurst. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Bathurst.
