Bathurst - Yvette Kenny, 87, wife of the late Bernard Kenny, of Bathurst, passed away on Saturday (September 2, 2006) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst on May 18, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Babin) Blanchard. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Women's League, Bathurst. She is survived by: Two sons: David Kenny (Yvette) of Bathurst William "Bill" Kenny of Nepisiguit Falls, NB Two sisters: Helena Lavigne and Bernice Jardine (George) of Bathurst 6 grandchildren; Michael, Keith, Ronald, Brian, Bernard, Cheryl, 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a grandson, Pat. The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday (September 4, 2006) at 4:00 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday from 2:00 p.m. until time of Funeral.
