Bathurst - Emile Couture, 84, of St. Mary's Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Monday (September 4, 2006) at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Joseph and Marie Elizabeth (Lavigne) Couture.
He served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Army in Canada and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He was retired from Brunswick Mining and was a member of the Company's Quarter Century Club.
He is survived by his wife, Argentine (Mazerolle) Couture.

The body will rest after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday (September 6, 2006) at Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst, until Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. with Father Wesley Wade officiating. Burial will be in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, St. Mary's Ave., Bathurst. A Legion service will be held from the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel.
