Morris Knowles, 83, of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes and formerly of Canobie, died Monday (November 3, 2003) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Canobie, he was the son of the late Rufus and Bella (Jagoe) Knowles.
He served in Canada during World War II, with the North Shore Regiment of the Royal Canadian Army and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He worked as Maintenance Supervisor for Sherwin-Williams Paint Factory in Toronto before retiring to the Bathurst area. He was a member of the Central United Church, Clifton.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, Mary (Scott) Knowles.
He is survived by his former wife, Mary (Frankowski) Knowles.

The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst, after 7 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday afternoon (November 6, 2003) at 2:00 p.m. from Central United Church, Clifton.
