Bathurst - Mrs. Evangéline “Jean” Gauthier, 77, wife of the late Alphonse Gauthier, formerly of South Bathurst, which occurred Sunday (November 5, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Lucie (Roy) Lagacé.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Alphonse, in 2005.
She is survived by:

Ida Heritage of St. Thomas, ON
Yvette Painchaud (Leon) of Drummondville, Que.
11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by a daughter, Betty Lavigne, brothers; Leonard Jr., William and a sister; Ida.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday (November 8, 2006) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
