David Roberts, 78, of King Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (December 10, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Campbellton, he was the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Ward) Roberts
He worked for Canadian National Railway for over 38 years. He was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He was a member of the First United Church Choir and several other choirs in the area. He was a former president of the South Bathurst Softball League, as well as a coach and umpire.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Judy Couture (Gerard) of Bathurst
Kim Good (Clint) of Big River
Paula Roberts of Bathurst
Rachel Roberts (Joey Myers) of Moncton
Three grandsons; Scott, Ryley and Connor.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a son; Kevin, sisters; Joyce, Marjorie, two half-sisters; Grace, Nellie and a half-brother; Harold.
The family will receive relatives and friends after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday (December 13, 2006) at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick St. Burial will be in the Spruce Grove Union Cemetery in the spring. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
