Alcide Drysdale, 86, of Sainte Anne's, which occurred Sunday (December 10, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Frank and Wilhelmina (Jean) Drysdale.
He served in World War II, with the Royal Canadian Army. He was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He was retired from Brunswick Mines and was a member of the Company's Quarter Century Club.
He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Jean (Valentine) Drysdale.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Couture) Drysdale.

He was pre-deceased by two daughters; Sheila Marie, Marie Ange, two brothers; Raymond, Romeo, two sisters; Dorothea and Parmella.
The family will receive relatives and friend on Friday from 2 to 4 only at Elhatton’s Funeral Home, St. George St. By request, there will be no Funeral. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. A Legion Service will be held from the Funeral Home on Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
