Bathurst - Mrs. Stella Couture, 78, of Coffyn Cres., Bathurst, passed away Tuesday (January 23, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Dorothy (Cormier) Hachey.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Emile Couture, in 1994.
She is survived by:

Roland, all of Bathurst

Margaret Boyd (Kenneth),

Carolyn Duclos (Danny) of Toronto, ON
22 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Her twin sister; Laurina Couture (late Louis) of Saint John, NB, and her sister; Eleanor Jacques (Albert) of St. Annes, NB

She was pre-deceased by an infant son; Ivan, brothers; James, Alexander, Leonard and sisters; Elizabeth, Mary, Elva and Margaret.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning (January 25, 2007) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in the spring. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral.
