Beresford - Adolphe Christie, 71, of Beresford, passed away on Monday (February 5, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a short illness.
Born in Beresford, he was the son of the late Charles and Bertha (Duguay) Christie.
He was the founder of C & D Construction in Beresford.
He is survived by his wife, Marie-Anne (Arseneau) Christie.
Three children:
Ronald (Sylvie) of
Daniel (Laurie Boucher) and
Sylvain (Sophie Guitard) all of Beresford
Two brothers:
Charles of Bathurst
William "Billy" of Montreal
Three sisters:
Arnolda White of Beresford
Isabelle Allaire (Gilles) of Montreal
Bertha Chouinard (late Joseph) of Montreal
Three grandchildren, Annie, Patric and Eric
Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by brothers; Samuel, Lawrence, Paul and Richard.
The body will rest at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford, after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (February 7, 2007) at 4:30 p.m. from Eglise St. Nom de Jesus, Beresford. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until time of Funeral.
