Clifton - Ralph Murphy, 82, of Clifton, passed away Thursday (February 15, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Koot Hill, NB, he was the son of the late Josiah and Adelaid (Polley) Murphy. He was retired from the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill. Besides his wife, Eva (Smith) Murphy, he is survived by: Three sons: Carmen (Patricia) of Red Deer, AB Dean of Ottawa, ON Richard "Rick" (Laura Lee) of Clifton, NB Three daughters: Marilyn Cooke (Sterling) of St. George, NB Heather MacCallum (Brian) of Bathurst Mary Ellen Murphy of Cambridge, ON One sister: Ruth Dunn (John) of Sussex, NB 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by brothers; Harold, Earl, a sister; Margaret and a granddaughter; Courtney. The body will rest after 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Monday (February 19, 2007) at 2:00 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Spruce Grove Union Cemetery, Bathurst, in the spring. Visiting hours are Saturday from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
