Bathurst - Roland Basque, 54, of Kent Lodge, Beresford, passed away on Tuesday (February 27, 2007), at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Tracadie, he was the son of Georgette (LeBreton) Basque and the late Alyre Basque.

He was the owner/operator of Atlantic Home Improvements and North Coast Roofing. Roland was a member of UCT Council #827, Bathurst and past president of the Kinsman Club, Bathurst.
The body is resting at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday (March 2, 2007) at 4 :00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Friday from 2:00 p.m. until time of Funeral. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or any charities of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home.
