The death of Lila May Doucet formerly of Little River Drive, Bathurst, wife of the late Leo Peter Doucet occurred on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes at the age of 99.
Born in New Richmond, Quebec on August 5, 1907 she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Ann (Willet) Dumas. She worked for Fransblow`s department store and managed Dalfen`s department store for many years. Lila was a very caring and thoughtful person and was always willing to help others. She will be greatly missed by her family. She was a very active in her church as well as the Catholic Women`s League. She was a founding member of Little Flower Council CWL and a member of its first Executive holding the office of President on several occasions. She received her 50 year CWL pin in 1990. She was also a former member of the Ladies Auxillary of the Chaleur Regional Hospital.
She is survived by two sons, Bob (Evelyn) and Blair of Bathurst.
Three daughters, Royetta LeBlanc and Joan Blanchard of Bathurst and Betty DeGrace of Fredericton.
A brother, Frank Dumas of Big River.
Two Sisters, Celia Malcolm of Quispamsis and Lydia Doody of New Zealand.
She was predeceased by her husband, in 1969
sons, Kenneth, Reginald and Ronald and
daughters, Eleanor Melanson and Marion Doucet.
A funeral mass will be held 4 PM Monday, March 5, 2007, at St. Theresa Church, South Bathurst.
Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor`s choice.
