Beresford - Mrs. Martha Pitre, 61, wife of the late Robert "Bert" Pitre, of Kent Lodge Road, Beresford, passed away on Tuesday (April 3, 2007) at her residence.
Born in Beresford, she was the daughter of Imelda (Garçeau) Bryar and the late Thomas Bryar.
She worked as a purchaser for Centra Industries in Waterloo and later for the former Smurfit Stone Paper Mill, Bathurst, NB.
Besides her mother of Beresford, she is survived by:
One daughter:
Mary Ann Roy (Robert) of South Tetagouche
Two granddaughters; Mélanie and Vanessa.
Five brothers:
Armand (Jeannine) of Timmins, ON
Raymond (Claudia) and
Ricky (Isabelle), both of Bathurst
Gilbert and
Léonard (Nicole) both of Beresford
Two sisters:
Helen Boudreau of Vancouver, BC
Carol Paradis (Louis) of Beresford
Several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her husband in 1999, a brother; André in 2001 and a brother-in-law; Paul Emile Comeau in 1989.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), 270 rue Centre, Beresford. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday (April 5, 2007) at 4:30 p.m. from Eglise St. Nom de Jesus, Beresford. Burial will be in the parish cemetery later in the spring.
