Bathurst - Mrs. Alice (Power) Norris, 93, wife of the late Al Norris, formerly of North Tetagouche, passed away peacefully on Friday (April 13, 2007) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in North Tetagouche, she was the daughter of the late James and Henrietta (Lordon) Power.
Alice moved to Toronto at an early age and was employed at Eaton's Department Store. After her marriage to Al Norris, they moved to Tanawanda, New York. On retirement they settled in Moncton and after her husbands death in 1983, she returned to Bathurst. She was a devout Catholic who attended daily mass before she became ill.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was pre-deceased by 8 brothers and 3 sisters; Harold, Martin, Edgar, Daniel, Raymond, Harry, Patrick, Aloysious, Hilda, Rita and Vona.

Many nieces and nephews.
A special niece whom she loved dearly is Bernice Davidson, who so lovingly visited her regularly at the Foyer and looked after all her affairs.
The body will rest after 10:00 a.m. Monday at Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday (April 16, 2007) from the Funeral Home Chapel with Father Gregory Culligan officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery later in the spring.
