Bathurst - Robert Melanson, 65, of Sunset Dr. Bathurst, which occurred Sunday (April 22, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthily illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Evelyn (Godin) Melanson and the late Arthur Melanson. He worked for 40 years in Toronto, moving back to his hometown two years ago. Besides his wife, Catherine Rae (Crisp) Melanson, and his mother of Bathurst, he was a dear father to: Deanna and Andrea Loving grandfather to Jacob, Courtney and Hope. Four sisters: Julie Legacé (Gilbert) of Allardville Patsy Lavigne (Harvey) and Betty Ross (Phil King), both of Bathurst Linda Fraser of Charlottetown, PEI Mother-in-law; Lavern Crisp. Brothers-in-law: Harvey Crisp (Theresa) of Perry Sound, ON Wayne Crisp (Denise) of Vancouver, BC Several nieces and nephews. The body will rest after 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday afternoon (April 25, 2007) at 11:00 a.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 7 to 9.
