Bathurst - Ron Coldwell, of Riverside Dr., Bathurst, passed away peacefully at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, on April 26, 2007 with his family by his side.
Ron was born in Wolfville, NS, on June 27, 1928, son of the late Clarence and Genesta (Coolen) Coldwell. Ron worked in the hardware industry most of his life as manager of the hardware department at Stairs, Son and Morrow in Halifax and then moved to Bathurst in 1965 as manager of the hardware department at Eddy Wholesale. Before retirement he worked at Cassidy's.
Through the years Ron has been an active member of the Lion's Club and Kinsman Club. He became a Mason, recently receiving his 50 year Jewel. As a Shriner he was extremely interested in helping sick Children.
Ron spent many happy hours in the woods (up river) canoeing, snowmobiling or just enjoying the outdoors with his many friends.
He is survived and will be sadly missed by:

Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a brother; Albert.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday afternoon at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. only. Funeral Service will be held on Monday afternoon (April 30, 2007) at 4:00 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rodrick Black officiating. The family would appreciate donations toe the Shriner’s Children Hospital, the Kidney Foundation or a charity of the donors choice.
