Clarence "Boo" Emile Doucet, of Queen Elizabeth Dr., and formerly of Main St., Bathurst, passed away peacefully at the age of 77, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, on April 29.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late George and Frances (Branch) Doucet.
He is survived by his wife Norma (nee Hussey) and his six children … Kevin (Cheryl Riley-Doucet) of Rochester Hills Michigan, Lyse of London, England, Andrea (Derek Roche) of Ottawa, ON, Paula (Paul Chapman) Janeville, NB, Mark (Kathy Ronalds) of Dubai, and Richard (Julie Arsenault) of Montreal, Que. as well as by one brother Bernard (Valerie) of Salt Spring Island, BC and two sisters, Jean Cormier (Jean-Marie) of Bathurst, and Lois McGregor of Burleson Texas.
He was also the grandfather to eight beloved grandchildren: Alysen, Vanessa, Jennifer, Erin. Lauren, Hannah, Lilly and Adam.
Clarence worked for over 39 years at the former Consolidated Bathurst pulp and paper mill. He was an active member of the 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Bathurst Council 1935, the Administrative Council of Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Bathurst Curling Club, and the Gowan Brae Golf and Country Club.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday (May 3, 2007) at 2:00 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery later in the spring. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Thursday from noon until time of Funeral.
