Paul Richard, 72, of South Dunlop and formerly of Petit-Rocher, which occurred Saturday 9 June 2007 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, surrounded by his life partner and his two sons.
Born 28 August 1934, he was the son of Alice Boudreau and the late Benoit Richard.
Paul worked as a machinist for Northern Machine Work, Brunswick Mines in Bathurst, the Dalhousie paper mill and in Montreal for 10 years. For the past 25 years, Paul was teaching Industrial Art at l'école Le Tournesol and Le Domaine Étudiant of Petit-Rocher. One of his favorite hobbies was sculpture, and has had a beautiful career as a fiddler entertaining as a soloist or with his band the "Violons de la Côte Nord".

The Lagacé family with which he had close ties to, his aunt Rita, and many cousins.
He was pre-deceased by a brother Yvon (1994) and brothers Damas and Roger at a young age.
Visitations were at Heritage Funeral Home (www.mfheritage.com), Beresford. Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday 11 June 2007 from the Saint-Nom de Jésus Church in Beresford at 4:00 p.m.
