In Edmonton Alberta, where she was living with her daughter Jean Schrekinger (nee Robson), Lela passed away suddenly from a heart attack after a lengthy and difficult fight with cancer. Born in Bathurst, N.B., Lela trained as a nurse at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal where she worked for over 20 years until her marriage to Roderick (Bob) S. Robson of Montreal in 1959. They were happily married until his passing on September 30, 1994.
To Lela, family and heritage held the highest level of importance, responsibility and love. She would return home to Janeville, N.B. every year, almost without exception, usually timed with strawberry and lobster season. No matter where she lived, it had to be King Cole tea and knitting yarn from Briggs and Little.
Lela is survived by her daughter:
Jean (and her husband Howard);

Ellie Robson,
Gordie Robson (and his wife Linda) and
Joan Andrews.
