Mrs. Germaine Gervais, 83, wife of the late Omer Gervais, of Centennial St., Bathurst, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday (7 April 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Ste-Anne de Madawaska, she was the daughter of the late Ernest “Pat” and Régina (Cyr) Martin. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Omer, in 2001. She is survived by: 4 Sons: Yvon Gervais (Marianne), Robert Gervais (Louise) both of Bathurst Jacques Gervais (Brenda) of Moncton François Gervais of Edmonton, AB 5 Daughters: Lise Dobson (late Kenneth) and Pierrette Johnson (Earl Jr.) both of Bathurst Nicole Duncan (Jim) of Dunlop Mireille Gervais of Bathurst Diane Roy (Bobby) of South Tetagouche One brother: Guy Martin of Vancouver,BC Two sisters: Gertrude Cloutier of Edmundston, NB Alice Ringuette or Rivière Verte, NB 22 Grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by 2 brothers; Ernest, Roger and a sister; Annette Coltart. A private Funeral Service was held on Wednesday (April 9,2008) at Ehatton's Funeral Chapel, Bathurst. Burial will be in the Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery later in the spring. Donations in memory of Germaine, may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
