Bathurst ? Mrs. Yvette Roy, 84, of Major Lane, Bathurst, wife of the late George Roy, which occurred Thursday (12 February, 2002) at Chaleur Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born in Kedgwick, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Sara (Duguay) Roy.
She worked for the former Jamieson Save-Easy for several years as a pastry chef.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, George in 1999.
She is survived by:
3 Daughters:
Phyllis Arseneau (Eric) and
Sharon Vienneau (Ralph) both of Bathurst.
Dorothy Roy (Yvon), of Petit Rocher.
3 Sons:
Judson Roy (Peggy) and
Richard Roy both of Bathurst
Kenneth Roy of Petit Rocher.
1 Sister: Germaine Beaudet of Montreal
1 Daughter-in-law: Marie Roy of Bathurst
14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by a son; Raymond in 2002.
The body rested at Elhatton Funeral Home St. George St. Bathurst. Funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave. Bathurst, Saturday afternoon (February 14, 2004) at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
