Bathurst - Martin Lavigne, 86, of Couture St., Bathurst and formerly of Miramichi Road, passed away on Wednesday (November 12, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Doucet) Lavigne. He was former employee of the NB Government Garage. He is survived by his wife, Délia (Chamberlain) Lavigne. One sister: Thérèse Boucher of Bathurst Several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by 3 sisters; Lillian Babin, Hazel Lavigne, Bella Laroque, 2 brothers; Aurèle and Corneil. The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning (November 14, 2008) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, East Bathurst. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral.
