Big River - In loving memory of Michael Allen Blanchette, 56, of Big River, who passed away on Monday (February 16, 2009) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Campbellton, he was the son of Edna (Odarby) Blanchette and the late Thomas Blanchette. He worked for Brunswick Mines. Besides his wife, Diane (Lapointe) Blanchette, and his mother of Glen-Levit, he is survived by: One son; Allan of Bathurst One daughter; Jennifer Lee of Big River Four brothers; Raymond of Glen-Levit Danny (Gisèle) of Moncton Steven (Susan) of Robinsonville, NB Louis (Gayle) of Glen-Levit Three sisters; Sarah Olivierra (Emmanuel), Corinne Bulmer (Danny) and Jacqueline Craswell (Donald) all of Edmonton, AB Sister-in-law: Sandra Blanchette of Florida He was pre-deceased by a brothers; James and Robert. The body will rest after 7 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com). Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (February 18, 2009) at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from noon until time of Funeral. Donations of sympathy may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity.
