Bathurst - Phyllis Acker, 64, wife of Tracy Glendenning, of Model Ave., Bathurst and formerly of Tabusintac, passed away on Sunday (December 12, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a period of illness.

She was the daughter of Susan (Blake) Acker and the late James Acker.

She was a Civil Servant with the Government of Canada until her retirement.  She was involved with the Public Service Alliance of Canada Women's Committee Regional Executive.
Besides her husband of Bathurst and her mother of Tabusintac, she is survived by, one daughter, Terri Tribe (Kevin) of Shilo, Man.; one brother, Kimbal Acker of Tabusintac; one sister, Susan Acker of Toronto, Ont.; 2 grandsons, Cody and Zachary.  Several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday (December 16, 2010) at 2 p.m. from St. George’s Roman Catholic Church in Covedell. 

Donations in memory of Phyllis may be made to the Local S.P.C.A or a favorite charity.
