Bathurst – Jean "John" Vienneau, 80, of Gloucester Junction, passed away on Thursday (April 14, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Albert L. and Lydia (Vienneau) Vienneau.

He was retired from the Canadian National Railway and Brunswick Mines.

Besides his wife, Frances (Boucher) Vienneau, he is survived by:  One daughter, Della Brown (Warren) of Gloucester Junction.  Two sons, Hubert Vienneau of Gloucester Junction and Denis "Danny" Boucher (Shirley) of Big River.  One brother, Wilfred "Bill" Vienenau of Bathurst.  One sister, Emerentienne "Lou" (Gerard) of Bathurst.  10 Grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Stephen, brothers, Henry, Laurent "Jos", Gerard, a sister Isabelle.

The body will rest after 7 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday (April 18, 2011) at 4 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst.  Visiting hours are Sunday from 7 to 9 and Monday from 2 p.m. until time of Funeral.  Donations in memory of John may be made to the Red Cross (Japan Relief Effort) or a favorite charity.
