Bathurst - Roger Bourque, 70, of Craig Ave, Bathurst, passed away suddenly on Wednesday (August 15, 2012) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Shediac, he was the son of the late Blair and Exelda (Blaquière) Bourque.
He was an Electrical Engineer and taught for 27 years at CCNB Bathurst. He was an avid fisherman, Bridge player and member of the Nepisiguit Salmon Association.
Besides his wife, Nancy (Mahon) Bourque.
He is survived by two daughters: Andrea Bourque (Jason Cheverie) of Charlottetown, P.E.I. and Michelle Bourque (Vincent Gouiran) of Marseilles, FR.
Precious grandson, Thomas Gouiran.
One brother, Roderique (Mary Ann) of Shediac.
Three sisters: Huguette Cormier (Jean) of Cocagne, Rosemonde Gilmore (Eldon) of Moncton and Rosetta MacGiffin (late Kevin) of Brussels, Belgium.
Several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday (August 24, 2012) at 2 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St, Bathurst. Donations in memory of Roger may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
