Bathurst - Mrs. Kathleen "Kay" Hachey, 83, formerly of Hennessy St., Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday (September 11, 2012) at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Grand Falls, Glou. Co., she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Arseneau) Comeau.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18 Royal Canadian Legion and the Holy Family Catholic Women’s League, Bathurst.
She is survived by her two loving daughters: Debbie Branch and Gail Hennessy (Tom) both of Bathurst and their father, Grant Hachey of Bathurst.
6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
She also leaves behind two sisters: Yvonne Lavigne (Eric) and Florence Jennings both of Bathurst.
One brother, George Comeau Jr. (Madeleine) of Quebec.
Several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by brothers: Hubert, Raymond, Clarence, Donald, Norman, Angus and a sister, Gladys.
The family will receive relatives and friends after 2 p.m. Friday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday (September 15, 2012) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Donations in memory of Kathleen may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a favorite charity.
