1954 - 2013
Bathurst – Martin Couture, 58, of Coffyn Cres., Bathurst and formerly of Pokeshaw, passed away Friday (April 26, 2013) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Emile and Stella (Hachey) Couture.
He was a meat cutter for Theriault’s Grocery’s for most of his life and was also a fisherman.
He is survived by three sons: Derek of Canobie, Mark of Pokeshaw and Corey of Calgary, Alta.
One daughter, Fallon Couture of Pokeshaw.
Three grandchildren.
Four brothers: Gary (Darlene Coombs), Ivan (Lisette) both of Bathurst, Roland (Tina) of Estevan, Sask. and David (Brenda) of Bolten, Ont.
Four sisters: Margaret Boyd (Kenneth), Marilyn Caissie (Ron), Judy Doucet (late Albany), all of Bathurst and Carolyn Duclos (Danny) of Toronto, Ont., several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by daughter, Sherry-Lynn and an infant brother, Ivan.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning (April 30, 2013) at 11 a.m. form Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
Donation in memory of Martin may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
