Bathurst - Mrs. Florence McLean Jennings, 89, formerly of Donald Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (May 2, 2013) at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de- Lourdes, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Arseneau) Comeau.
She worked as a waitress for most of her life and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.
She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Alexander Arseneau; 2nd husband, Max McLean; 3rd husband, Harper Jennings, a daughter, Brenda and one grandson, Justin Shawn Lowe.
Florence is survived by three daughters: Norma McLean (David) of Bathurst, Donna Lowe (Murray) of Calgary, Alta. and Karen Turner (Bill) of Edmonton, AB.
Four grandchildren: Ricky, Jason, Matthew, Colleen; two great-grandchildren: Robyn and Logan.
One step-son, Robert Mclean (Rita) of Florida.
She also leaves behind one sister, Yvonne Lavigne (Eric) of Bathurst.
One brother, George Comeau Jr. (Madeleine) of Quebec. Several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by six brothers: Hubert, Raymond, Clarence, Donald, Norman, Angus, two sisters, Gladys and Kathleen "Kay".
The family will receive relatives and friends after 2 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday morning (May 8, 2013) at 11 a.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel.
Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
Donations in memory of Florence may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a favorite charity.
